Apple Blossom in October 2011

It's true we have apple blossom on our apple tree.

Such strange freaky weather over the last few weeks. Our trees and plants aren't sure what to do. Go to sleep for the Winter or wake up for Spring.

At least it gives the bees a last minute boost.

I've been trying to get some plants undercover for the Winter.

The only things I expected to find on our apple tree this morning were Amie and Mew's wind chimes.

I also found some roses, Autumn can't be that bad....

It was 17 deg C. at lunch time today. A bit cooler than the last few weeks, still great weather for walking on the beach.
You can find Freya at  CATFLAP CAVALIER
She's starting to have an attitude, just like another Cavalier I used to know. Must be a Cavalier thing !

Apple bloossoms are so pretty - and yours are extra special coming along in the fall. The white rose is so sweet too. Our flowers are all on the way out, been very dry here and the nights are getting cooler. Almost time for Old Man Winter to blow in. We are hoping for a good snowy winter, but Mom says no thanks.

Don't fight over the apple. Mother Nature loves to have fun with us sometimes.

I am loving this weather. We went to the lighthouse and I was still sweating, maybe a bit too hot today;)

I went to tidy up my garden today but didn't have the heart to cut back all the glorious nasturtiums still in bloom and I still have a budding sweetpea! Crazy year for the garden, but I am enjoying it.

The weather is truly crazy so far and I do feel sorry for the plants and insects and all other creatures who rely on the certainty of the seasons to, well, act like they should!! Oh but I'm loving the mild weather so far!

Awww hugs to gorgeous Freya! Take care

How bizarre to have apple blossoms at this time of year. You must live in a special Soggibottom weather zone:)

Oh what a beautiful rose! It has been so long since we have seen a rose! And an apple blossom!
Mother Nature is just not able to make up her mind!
We are in a rainy fall time right now,,, no apple blossoms or roses.
It sooooo good to see Freya snoopin about! An attitude is a good thing!

This has truly been a strange year for weather. Our fig tree is shedding all it's leaves and there are several new little figs still hanging on for dear life. They probably won't get ripe though. We've finally had some nice gentle rain off and on all day; it was much needed. Our little winter garden of greens, brocoli and onions was happy to get the needed rain! Hug all the fur babies for me! Muffy sends her love too!

Apple blossoms and roses--wow. I hate to think of winter coming. Brrrr.

We had very few blossoms of any kind this year. It was too hot and dry. I wonder what the winter will be like. I'm going to try not to complain about the cold because I don't want 100 degree temps again.
